This fold-out guide covers top 50 birds found in gardens and parks, including ponds and rivers.

Gardens and parks are wonderful places for bird watching. Making a list of garden birds is a great first step into wildlife identification. Some species are present throughout the year, while others are summer or winter visitors only.

Of course a few species, like Blackbird and Robin, are instantly recognisable. But for others you might need to take a closer look. Is that a Greenfinch or a Siskin at the bird feeder? Can you tell apart a Blue Tit from a Great Tit? How about a Bullfinch from a Chaffinch? This guide can help!

Designed for speedy bird identification, this guide features beautiful colour paintings by Chris Shields. Accompanying text on the reverse side covers body size, food, key identification notes and conservation status.

Don’t forget if you want to attract more Birds to your Garden, adding bird feeders is a great help. Or plant more bird friendly plants such as hawthorn, rowan or crab apple which will provide berries in autumn. Birds will also need water for drinking and bathing so providing saucers of water and bird baths are essential for their well-being. Nest boxes provide shelter and great places to lay their eggs.

Inspiritus Diffuser

We love this diffuser which features an elegant and simple design in a 100% recyclable cardboard box.

Each gift box comes with a frosted glass display bottle, 10 reeds and bottle of Inspiritus fragrance; an uplifting blend of aromatic spices, nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves. The bottle takes 150ml of fragrance, and the reeds are 3mm in diameter and 25cm in length.

Usage
Carefully decant the oil from the refill bottle into the glass display bottle, insert the reeds and enjoy. You can extend the use of the reeds by turning them carefully over and exposing the reeds that were in the oil to boost the scent. Once the reeds are placed in the bottle the oils are gradually drawn up the reeds and released. In normal conditions the liquid will last up to 3 months.

Curlews are ground nesting birds that have declined by an average of 60% in the UK since 1980s. This is due to widespread changes to our countryside. These magnificent birds are recognised by their down-curved bill and distinctive calls which could once be frequently heard along coasts and across farmlands.
