We were thrilled to welcome Dr. Tim Mackrill, founder of the Osprey Leadership Foundation to give this years Cameron Bespolka Wildlife Memorial Talk on 20th November, hosted by Winchester College.

The invitation went out to the local schools and 500 local Primary School children from in and around Winchester travelled to the college to enjoy a most entertaining talk. Tim's talk focused on the magnificent Osprey, as well as the exciting reintroduction of the White-Tailed Eagles on the Isle of Wight.

The White-tailed Eagle reintroduction project aims to restore a population of the birds to the South Coast of England. This will involve the release of young White-tailed Eagles from Scotland on the Isle of Wight. It is  hoped that the released birds will remain to breed in future years. White-tailed Eagles have been successfully reintroduced to both Scotland and Ireland. The first six birds were released in August 2019.

A huge thank you to Winchester College for hosting this annual event in Cameron’s memory as well as to Martyn Shears from the RSPB for joining us.

A packed hall was treated to a hugely entertaining talk

Thank you Dr. Tim Mackrill for sharing your expert knowledge with the children. Your inspiring words have helped this group of young people believe they can make a difference in their everyday lives.
