Saving Swifts

At the end of June the Trust attended a workshop to highlight the plight of the Swift. These beautiful birds have been in decline across the UK by more than 50% over the past 22 years.

It was an incredible day learning about these fascinating birds and how our help is desperately needed to stop their decline. By simply putting up special Swift nest boxes on our homes, or Swift Bricks in new builds we can make a huge difference.

Swift Conservation
Edward Mayer from Swift Conservation made an impassioned speech about the efforts to protect the Swift

Thank you Andy and Tim from Hampshire Swifts for inviting us to your workshop and Edward Mayer from Swift Conservation for a fantastic talk. Also a huge thanks goes to Nicky Bryant for running our stand.

Look out for our new special bird boxes which will be available soon.
