The Cameron Bespolka Outdoor Classroom opens

Winchester College in Hampshire has created an outdoor classroom in memory of Cameron. The project has been entirely funded by the generosity of donors.

The opening of the Cameron Bespolka Outdoor Classroom

The classroom overlooks the river and it is hoped that current and future pupils of the college will be inspired to develop their own passion for naure and the countryside.

The space is not just for teaching those subjects directly related to the great outdoors, but to enable pupils to learn, surrounded by nature, whether that's philosophy, literature or biology. The amphitheatre style seating caters for up to 30 people and the new pontoon encourages the boys to explore the river and the life within.

As well as being used by Winchester College pupils, it will also be available to the various visiting state school groups that are welcomed as part of the community programme.

The classroom is in a truly beautiful setting overlooking the river
